The word mandala means “circle” in Sanskrit, and mandala making is associated with healing and mindfulness across a variety of cultures. Current research suggests that mandala making can help individuals cope with stress, anxiety, chronic pain, and sadness. Participants will learn more about these benefits, engage in a guided visualization exercise, and create a mandala journal to take home. This workshop will be facilitated by art therapists and educators, and all materials will be provided. Participation is free, but registration is requested.
